Donderdag is er een nieuwe stabiele versie van WinSCP verschenen. Met dit programma, dat onder een opensource-licentie wordt uitgebracht, kunnen op een veilige manier bestanden tussen twee computers worden gekopieerd. Het programma ondersteunt ftp, secure ftp en het oudere secure copy- (scp-) protocol. WinSCP is niet alleen als een op zichzelf staand programma beschikbaar, maar is ook als plug-in voor de bestandsbeheerprogramma's FAR en Altap Salamander beschikbaar.
