Oracle heeft versie 3.2.6 van VirtualBox uitgebracht, de derde update voor de half mei verschenen versie 3.2.0. Dit programma kan worden gebruikt om andere besturingssystemen in een virtuele omgeving op een computer te installeren. Op die manier kunnen verschillende OS'en op dezelfde hardware worden gebruikt. VirtualBox is beschikbaar voor Windows 2000 en hoger, Mac OS X, Linux en Solaris, en kan overweg met een groot aantal gastbesturingssystemen.
VirtualBox is in twee versies verkrijgbaar. De volledige versie heeft extra functionaliteit, zoals ondersteuning voor usb-poorten en het remote display protocol, maar is alleen gratis voor privégebruik en evaluatiedoeleinden. De extra functionaliteit is namelijk closed source en is dan ook niet aanwezig in de opensource-uitvoering. Nieuw in versie 3.2.0 zijn onder andere de mogelijkheid om Mac OS X als gast-OS te draaien en de grootte van het geheugen dynamisch aan te passen. In versie 3.2.6 zijn verder nog de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen aangebracht:
