DVDFab Software heeft versie 7.0.6.0 van DVDFab uitgebracht. Dit programma bestaat uit twee afzonderlijke gedeeltes. Met het gratis DVDFab HD Decrypter kunnen films van een dvd of blu-ray naar de harde schijf worden geript, waarbij tegelijkertijd de beveiliging en de regiocode kunnen worden verwijderd. Met het andere gedeelte, dat gewoon DVDFab heet, kan de film vervolgens worden geconverteerd en gekopieerd naar een dvd, blu-ray of een draagbaar apparaat, zoals de PSP of een iPod. Het programma kan een volledige kopie maken, maar het is ook mogelijk om specifieke onderdelen te kiezen, bijvoorbeeld alleen de hoofdfilm met een beperkt aantal talen en ondertitels.
In versie 6 zijn de onderdelen Gold en Platinum vervallen. In plaats hiervan zijn DVD to DVD, Blu-ray to Blu-ray, DVD to Mobile, File to Mobile en File Mover gekomen. De verschillende onderdelen van het programma hebben een eigen licentie. Wie geen behoefte aan de blu-ray-functionaliteit of geen draagbare speler heeft, hoeft hier ook niet voor te betalen. - New: Added "Create restrict compatible AVCHD folder structure (without certificate folder)" option, which you should choose if you want to play the backup disc on standalone player.
- New: Added "Create software player compatible AVCHD folder structure (with certificate folder)" option, which you should choose if you want to play the backup ISO with software player.
- New: Added "Encoding Settings" in in "Settings -> Blu-ray to Blu-ray" window.
- New: Added "Fast Speed / Normal Quality" and "Slow Speed / High Quality" options. "Fast Speed / Normal Quality" is the default option, you can switch to "Slow Speed / High Quality" for better quality.
