URD, wat staat voor Usenet Resource Downloader, is voorzien van een update naar versie 1.0.4. Met dit programma kunnen bestanden van usenet worden gedownload. Dat kan door gebruik te maken van nzb-bestanden, maar het programma is ook in staat om zelf een nieuwsgroep te analyseren en een downloadset te genereren voor een specifieke verzameling bestanden. URD wordt ontwikkeld voor Linux en BSD en wordt onder een opensource-licentie uitgebracht. Het changelog van deze release ziet er als volgt uit:
