Software-update: Warcraft III 1.24e

Blizzard Entertainment heeft vorige maand een nieuwe patch uitgebracht voor Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos en de bijbehorende expansion-set Frozen Throne. Het versienummer is vastgesteld op 1.24e en verhelpt een aantal crashes en exploits in het spel. De bijbehorende aankondiging ziet er als volgt uit:

Warcraft III Patch v1.24e

The Warcraft III patch v1.24e has been released with several game fixes and updates.

For the easiest patching process it is recommended that you connect to Battle.net. This can be done by starting the game and clicking on the Battle.net button.

If you have The Frozen Throne expansion installed you only need to download and install The Frozen Throne patch. Note: If you have any problems while patching, please refer to our support site steps for help.

Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne:

Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos:

Changes:

• Fixed an exploit rendering buildings non-interactable ("tower hack").
• Fixed an exploit allowing a player to bypass a summon ability's cooldown ("summon/cooldown hack").
• Fixed a client crash related to workers failing to build in an unintended way ("new crash hack").
• Fixed an exploit allowing the Blood Mages's Phoenix to be resurrected instantly ("phoenix hack").
• Fixed a bug allowing players to select an invalid matchmaking race resulting in all the player's units and buildings becoming sheep ("sheep hack").

dat is wel humor. Blijft een gaaf spel maar ik vind dat ze voor zo'n oud spel er nog nèt een tikkeltje teveel geld voor blijven vragen om 'm nog aan te schaffen voor een zeldzaam potje DOTA of TD.

Jammer dat het spel zelf wat minder fantastisch is. Daarom WC3 = Dota.

ik vind battle.net voor geen meter werken trouwens. Het is behoorlijk moeilijk om een game te vinden waar je met meerdere vrienden in kunt vanwege verbindingserrors ofzo.

TD is geweldig hierin, jammer dat ik jaren na de release nog 30 euri voor beide samen heb moeten neerleggen, maar het was het zeker waard

Blijf me verbazen over de lange support van deze game, gelukkig krijgt blizzard genoeg geld binnen

Laatst was er een update voor Diablo 2.

Er is nog niet veel over gezegt, maar er is wel gezegt dat ze er over nadenken voor de 'legacy' games. Het zou wel een prachtige patch zijn

Deze patch maakt Warcraft weer speelbaar, de hacks hebben bnet ongeveer 2 weken geterroriseerd. Thanks blizzard!

Geweldige game. Daarom heeft het nog steeds een loyal fanbase not zoals Starcraft. Het is een game waar je nooit volledig op bent uitgekeken. Nederland verdient hier ook wat belasting centen mee door het inkomen van Grubby

Speel Frozen Throne nog altijd, zeer verslavend spel en blijft altijd leuk.
