Xtreamer heeft een nieuwe firmware uitgebracht voor zijn gelijknamige mediaspeler. De Xtreamer is bedoeld voor het afspelen en streamen van mediabestanden van de optionele ingebouwde harde schijf, een apparaat op het interne netwerk - bedraad of draadloos - of van het internet. Op ons eigen GoT loopt een topic waar meer informatie over deze budget-mediaspeler is te vinden. Nieuw in versie 2.3 is de mogelijkheid om bestanden direct vanuit de WebUI op de tv af te spelen en om playlists af te spelen vanuit de Web Remote Control. Kort na het uiutkomen van versie 2.3 is ook 2.3.1 alweer verschenen en deze lost twee problemen op:

- Play files directly from web UI to TV
Click Play button next to file name to play that file directly on TV- Play all files of a folder directly from web UI to TV

- Go to Setup->Playback->Auto Run and select the playlist you want to play automatically
- Whenever you will turn Xtreamer on or reboot your selected playlist will be auto played
- For photo playlist you need to select “Setup->Playback->Background Music->Playlist” for background music to be auto played
- From “Setup->Subtitle/ID3-tag” user can select RTL or LTR for Arabic and Hebrew subtitle
- This option can be applied for UTF-8 formatted subtitle

- By default “UPnP Media Server”, “Web Server” and “FTP Server” are off.
