Tiki is een webbased groupware en cms en maakt gebruik van een omgeving met PHP, Adodb en smarty. Het programma is ook bekend onder de pakkende naam Tikiwiki die vooral niet verward moet worden met Tinky Winky die we allen een warm hart toedragen. De ontwikkelaars hebben sinds de vorige vermelding in de Meuktracker een aantal versies uitgebracht waardoor het versienummer momenteel 3.2 aantikt. De bijbehorende aankondigingen zien er als volgt uit:
Version 3.2
With 200 new fixes and enhancements, Tiki 3.2 is now available. Features and functions improved in this release include modules, plugins, newsletters, browser support, calendars, overall interface and language, and many more.

Version 3.1
In another step forward, Tiki 3.1 has been released. Once again, thanks to the users for providing feedback, to the developers for their code contributions, to the Quality Team for their careful checking of commits, and to everyone else in the TikiWiki community who helped out.
Tiki 3.1 contains a large number of significant function and display fixes and improvements in areas including trackers, search, permissions, calendars, forums, wiki page staging, wiki plugins, mail functions, translations, interface elements such as buttons, Smarty templates checking, and improvements in individual themes. Version 3.0
Tiki 3.0 is now released! Easier to use and manage than ever before, the latest version of Tiki comes with a range of new features (external link), and thousands of improvements to existing ones.
After months of hard work, the Tiki open source community is delighted to release Tiki version 3.0. This version of Tiki marks a new milestone in the development of the project, as we embark on building a community around Tiki Profiles, and accelerate the momentum in enhancing the ease of use and capability of one of the most powerful open source collaboration/content management platforms.
Thanks again to all who helped in making Tiki 3.0 a reality, and especially those who worked extra hard during the release process.
The release of Tiki 3.0 also marks the start of the work of the new Quality Team that will help to ensure that necessary bug fixes and incremental improvements make it to the 3.x versions while maintaining consistency and reliability, even as developers are working on cool new features for 4.0.
