Tiki is een webbased Groupware en cms en maakt gebruik van een omgeving met PHP, Adodb en smarty. Het programma is ook bekend onder de pakkende naam Tikiwiki. De ontwikkelaars hebben na vier release candidates nu dan eindelijk de final van versie 2.0 vrijgegeven, die tevens via een live-cd uitgeprobeerd kan worden. De bijbehorende aankondiging ziet er als volgt uit:

Tiki 2.0 (previously known as Tiki 1.10) is the next generation of TikiWiki. Special thanks to the countless people that made this release possible. TikiWiki is truly a community success. Over 80 people contributed 6894 commits (code changes) to the source code of version 2.0 and so many more to testing, documentation, bug reporting, etc. TikiWiki 2.0 offers countless (really!) new features & enhancements.

TikiWiki 1.9.11 was already the open source Web app with the most built-in features. It now has even more features, is faster and has a better user interface. Please see here. Please also see the Release notes, especially if you are upgrading from a previous version. Report any issues here.
Work has already started on TikiWiki 3.0, which will be released in April 2009. The main focus of version 3.0 will be further enhancements to the user interface, the admin interface, the theme system and built-in themes.
