Rhino Software heeft versie 8.2.0.3 van Serv-U uitgebracht. Serv-U is een klein en eenvoudig te bedienen ftp-server, die zowel voor thuis- als voor professioneel gebruik geschikt is. Het programma kan de eerste dertig dagen in de Corporate Edition-uitvoering worden uitgeprobeerd. Gedurende die tijd is er onder meer een ongelimiteerd aantal domeinen, gebruikers per domein en gelijktijdige verbindingen, en is het mogelijkheid om beveiligde verbindingen op te zetten. Na de dertig dagen gaat het programma verder als Personal Edition met enigszins beperkte functionaliteit, zoals een beperkt aantal domeinen, gelijktijdige connecties en gebruikersaccounts. - Corrected a bug in FTP Voyager JV where uploading a file with non-ASCII characters in the file name, Serv-U would receive an incorrect file name.
- Corrected a problem where Serv-U was unable to operate on UTF-8 encoded file names for FTP, FTPS, and SFTP (via SSH2) when the "Convert URL characters in commands to ASCII" limit was set to "yes". This limit is a very old FTP option, that should probably always be disabled or "no". This limit now only applies to FTP sessions.
