Cowon heeft nieuwe firmware beschikbaar gesteld voor zijn iAUDIO 7 draagbare mediaspeler. Dit apparaat komt in uitvoeringen met tussen de vier en zestien gigabyte flashgeheugen en beschikt verder over een fm-radio. De download bevat drie bestanden, te weten I7_FW.BIN, I7_FO.BIN en I7_RS.BIN, en deze moeten naar de root folder van de iAUDIO 7 worden gekopieerd. Vervolgens moet het apparaat worden ontkoppeld en opnieuw opgestart worden, waarna de firmware automatisch wordt bijgewerkt. Hieronder is te vinden welke aanpassingen er met firmwareversie 1.18 worden doorgevoerd:

- Fixed the error that rewind setting value was not applied in sectional repeat playback when skip length was set by the second.
- Fixed the error that freeze up after playing some specific video files.
- Fixed the error that some specific ID3 tags were not displaying on the screen.
- Fixed some displaying error in Hebrew.
- Fixed some displaying error in German.
