Software-update: phpMyAdmin 3.1.3.2

Dinsdag is versie 3.1.3.2 van phpMyAdmin uitgebracht. Met behulp van dit in php geschreven databasemanagementprogramma is het mogelijk om een MySQL-database via een handige webinterface te beheren. Daarnaast is het mogelijk om query's op te database los te laten. De software in in 55 talen vertaald en is ook in het Nederlands te gebruiken. Hieronder is te vinden wat er allemaal sinds versie 3.1.2 veranderd is, de vorige versie die in de Meuktracker besproken is:

Ik verbaas me eigenlijk dat er nog zo actief aan dit product gewerk wordt. Zo ver ik weet is het al jaren feature complete.

De webapp is inderdaad redelijk compleet. Zelf zou ik alleen nog graag een grafische weergave zien van relaties die je tussen verschillende tabellen maakt (vergelijkbaar met access e.d.). Dit maakt het wat leesbaarder, makkelijker te ontwikkelen en beheren.

Dat zit er al een tijd in, heet designer mode. Lees de documentatie hoe je dat in moet stellen (je hebt een paar tabellen in een eigen database nodig).

Als je kijkt zie je dat het vooral bugfixes zijn.

Maar volgens mij mag er hier en daar ook nog wat aan de interface gesleuteld worden.

PHP en MySQL veranderen ook maandelijks. En dan moet phpMyAdmin natuurlijk wel aangepast worden
