Ondanks dat de ontwikkeling van µTorrent 1.9 in volle gang is en er met enige regelmaat alphareleases daarvan verschijnen, is er dinsdag een nieuwe bètarelease uit de 1.8-reeks uitgebracht. µTorrent is een zeer complete Bittorrent-client die het geheugen en processor nauwelijks belast. Daarnaast is de grootte van het programma ook nog eens minimaal. Hieronder is te vinden welke veranderingen en verbeteringen er in deze release zijn doorgevoerd:
