Dameware Development heeft zijn Dameware NT Utilities gisteren voorzien van een update naar versienummer 6.8.1.0. Deze programma's zijn bedoeld voor het op afstand beheren en administreren van Windows NT-, 2000-, XP-, 2003- en Vista-werkstations, -servers en -domeinen. De NT Utilities bestaan onder andere uit een zeer uitgebreide Active Directory Object Browser en de programma's Mini Remote Control en Exporter. De software kan dertig dagen volledig worden getest voordat het moet worden aangeschaft. Hieronder is te vinden wat er sinds de vorige vermelding in de Meuktracker allemaal veranderd is:

- Information displayed in Processes View for Total Memory Usage could be miscalculated in some isolated scenarios. Fixed.
- When using the Import option to import Saved Host Lists, it was possible for random entries to not be imported. Fixed.
- SFT for files and folders not beginning with an alpha-numeric character would fail. Fixed.
- Additional enhancements for O/S implementations with Multiple Desktops.
- MRC connections to 2008 Server could connect to existing RDP (non-console) session instead of console session. Fixed.
- "Logon As" dialog would not except more than 30 characters. Fixed.
- Account creation time for newly created AD Objects displayed incorrectly in AD List View. Fixed.

- When connecting to 2003/2008 Server O/S, MRC session could become stuck at "Initializing Desktop." screen. Fixed.
- Sending a mouse double-click over your MRC connection could possibly cause the remote machine to receive an extra single mouse click. Fixed.
- If a user had already connected via the Mirror Driver and then minimized their MRC window (or simply lost focus), then each subsequent MRC connection attempt could become stuck displaying "Initializing..." until the first MRC connection window gained focus again (does not apply to RDP connections). Fixed.
- Comments for any Host Entry that exceeded 264 characters would force the user to connect via RDP instead of a standard MRC connection. Fixed. **Comments field currently allows for 510 characters.
- SFT menu may not appear on non-English versions of Windows, due to permissions not being set properly. Fixed.
- Client Agent Service would not start on Windows 9x (Error Creating Instance Mapping - System Error:123). Fixed.
