Fengtao Software heeft versie 5.2.2.0 van Dvdfab HD Decrypter uitgebracht. Met dit programma kunnen dvd-films naar de harde schijf worden geript, waarbij tegelijkertijd de beveiliging en de regiocode eruit worden gehaald. Het programma kan een volledige kopie maken, maar ook is het mogelijk om specifieke onderdelen te kiezen, bijvoorbeeld alleen de hoofdfilm met slechts een beperkt aantal talen en ondertitelingen. Dvdfab HD Decrypter is het rip-gedeelte uit Dvdfab Gold en Platinum, betaalde programma's van Fengtao Software, waarmee dvd's ook gekopieerd, geconverteerd en gebrand kunnen worden. Vanaf versie 5 zijn deze drie programma's samengevoegd en zal er dus elke keer als het programma opgestart wordt, uit een van die programma's gekozen moeten worden.
