Firmware-update: Plextor PX-W4012A

tHe_BiNk liet weten dat op de japanse website van Plextor een nieuwe firmware is te downloaden voor de Plextor PX-W4012A. Versie 1.01 bevat onder meer de volgende verbeteringen:

• Writing at 40X to more media.
• Some problems with computers using 440BX chipset fixed.
• Some fixes to comply better with the orange book standards.
• Some fixes when using Easy CD-Creator.

Is deze wel hetzelfde als de europese versie? Of zijn die drives altijd over de hele wereld identiek?

Kun je trouwens op een BX bordje wel met 40x fikken? Kan me zo voorstellen dat dat wel eens duidelijke snelheidsprobleempjes kan geven (vooral met mp3)

Volgens mij kan je ook Audio niet op 40x branden met deze branden, maximaal 24x ofzo
