Sabayon Linux, genoemd naar het Italiaanse zabaglione-toetje, is een zeer uitgebreide Linux-distributie die afstamt van Gentoo Linux. Bij de installatie wordt gebruik gemaakt van gecompileerde pakketten, maar het is ook mogelijk om Gentoo's Portage aan te slingeren om pakketten te installeren. Sabayon Linux is voorzien van recente versies van onder andere KDE, Gnome, Firefox, Openoffice en Beryl, maar ook niet-opensourceprogramma's zijn aanwezig, zoals ATI Radeon- en nVidia Geforce-drivers en een demo van Quake 4. Door de enorme verzameling applicaties die meegeleverd worden, zijn de binnen te halen downloads een dikke 3,9GB groot en vereist een volledige installatie minimaal 8GB schijfruimte. - This distribution contains proprietary and non-GPL softwares too (like from NVIDIA, ATI, Google, etc). Before running them, be sure to read their license and agree with that, otherwise, just remove those applications. To run SabayonLinux without Proprietary drivers, just use "noproprietary" boot flag.
- When you exit Sauerbraten or Nexuiz your Computer will shut down automatically.
