Het programma Webcamxp stelt je in staat om zonder al te veel problemen je eigen webcamstream op het wereldwijde web te publiceren. Het programma ondersteunt zo goed als alle webcams die van vfw en wdm gebruikmaken, maar kan ook beelden doorsturen van ip-gebaseerde webcams. Daarnaast kan het programma ook de eventueel aanwezige pan-, tilt- en zoomfuncties van de webcam aansturen. De ontwikkelaar is met het uitbrengen van de 5.x-serie afgestapt van de jaaraanduiding in de versienummering. Versie 5.2.5.832 van Webcamxp is sinds kort beschikbaar en voorzien van de volgende lijst met veranderingen:
