Central Brain Identifier lijkt uit zijn as herrezen, want gisteren is er weer een nieuwe versie verschenen. Het gaat om versie 1.0.0.2 beta 2 build 11088 en deze heeft ook de toevoeging 'Black Edition' meegekregen, wat gezien het nieuwe uiterlijk eenvoudig te verklaren is. Met CBId kan het exacte model en type processor van een met een AMD uitgeruste computer worden geïdentificeerd. Het programma geeft gedetailleerde informatie weer, zoals de naam, revisie en voltage van de core, frequentie, rating, cachegrootte en gebruikte PowerNow-technologie. Daarnaast is het ook in staat enkele tweaks uit te voeren ten aanzien van de L1-cache, het Clock Control Register, de geheugentimings en is er ook de mogelijkheid om de HyperTransport-klokfrequentie aan te passen. De nieuwe 'Black Edition' kan overigens alleen nog maar de nieuwere processoren herkenen en het is niet bekend of herkenning van oudere modellen op een later tijdstip alsnog wordt toegevoegd. A good news is CBId is alive! In March we started the Central Brain Identifier project again. As our funs remember, our works at the project were officially terminated last year. We devoted almost 5 long years for it! We could not optimize CBId’s GUI to be compatible with AMD Phenom processors. Therefore the project was closed. Now we are working at absolutely new CBId of Black Edition. It will be based on the powerful source code of previous CBId version, but it will feature a new GUI design that was worked out for the AMD64 processor architecture. CBId Black Edition is designed to support AMD64 processors only and previous processor families are not planned to support. For the moment CBId Black Edition is capable of supporting the latest AMD dual-core and quad-core processors. It can indicate a support of the latest multimedia instructions by the processor, such as SSSE3, SSE4A, SSE4.1 and SSE5! Check out the latest version![break]
