Op Sourceforge is een opensource project te vinden met de naam iTunes Store file validator. Dit is een add-on voor Apple iTunes en kan worden gebruikt, zoals de naam stiekem al een beetje verraadt, om bestanden in dit programma te beheren. Zo kan iTSfv automatisch informatie opzoeken en aan het nummer toevoegen, waaronder album art, het nummer van de track en het genre. Verder kan het ook songteksten van Lyricswiki downloaden, automatisch nummers waarderen op basis van je afspeelpatroon en een berg statistieken genereren over het gebruik van je muziekbibliotheek.
