Adium X is een instantmessagingprogramma voor het Mac OS X-platform en kan berichten via de netwerken van onder andere ICQ, Jabber, MSN, MySpace IM en Yahoo uitwisselen. Het programma is verder natuurlijk voorzien van de nodige features, waaronder otr-encryptie, tabbed messaging en het kunnen versturen en ontvangen van bestanden. Het uiterlijk is bovendien in meer dan twintig talen te gebruiken waaronder het Nederlands. De ontwikkelaars hebben versie 1.2.2 naar buiten gebracht met de volgende veranderingen:
