Peekit wordt ontwikkeld voor het Mac OS X-platform en stelt je in staat om bestanden in raw- en hex-waarden te lezen of aan te passen. Daarnaast is het mogelijk om annotaties aan de bestanden toe te voegen zodat je een bepaald interessant datagebied of dataveld makkelijk terug kan vinden. De ontwikkelaar heeft een nieuwe versie klaargestoomd met 2.6.1 als het versienummer. De lijst met veranderingen ziet er als volgt uit:
