Software-update: Gammu 1.13.0

Het programma Gammu is in staat om allerlei zaken op mobiele telefoons te beheren en wordt door de zelfde ontwikkelaar ontwikkeld als Gammu+. Het verschil tussen de twee programma's is voornamelijk de gebruikte ontwikkeltaal: C tegenover C++. Voor een overzicht van telefoons die momenteel worden ondersteund kan je op deze pagina terecht. Het programma kan onder andere aanpassingen doen voor ringtones, smsjes, logo's, wap en het aanwezige telefoonboek. Daarnaast bevat het ook een sms-gateway met MySQL-, PostgreSQL- en PHP-ondersteuning. De ontwikkelaar heeft versie 1.13.0 uitgebracht en die voorzien van de volgende aankondiging:

I just released new version of Gammu. There are no big changes since last testing release:

• Fixed several crashes of 6510 driver.

For stable users there are tons of changes, most noticable is initial support for Sharp and Motorola phones, notes support for OBEX driver and various fixes to make compilation in Visual Studio possible.

Version 1.12.0:

I just released new version of Gammu. There are no big changes since last testing release:

• Added dku5fbus-nodtr and fbus-nodtr variants, which do not care about DTR/RTS signals (thanks to Jakub Zawadzki).
• Do not delete phonebook entries when there are none (bug #317).
• This release comes with new API, which should provide stable ABI for upcoming versions. If you're distributor, who had special dependency handling for libGammu, you can now keep it on soname, versions with same soname will be backwards compatible.

For stable users, there are quite a lot of changes, especially for developers, conversion to new API will probably hurt. There is porting documentation included in sources and if it does not help you, feel free to ask!
