Met het programma DameWare NT Utilities kan je moeiteloos Windows NT- en Windows 2000/2003-netwerken beheren. Door de vele opties in het pakket kan je onder andere gebruikers en groepen aanmaken, wijzigen en verwijderen, overzichten uitdraaien van alle processen die op verschillende NT/2000/2003-gebaseerde servers draaien, exports van netwerkoverzichten maken, machines overnemen en nog veel meer. De ontwikkelaars hebben onlangs versie 6.5.0.0 de deur uitgedaan met de volgende aanpassingen:

- No Protocol Revision. A connected user will not be notified that the Client Agent needs to be upgraded, if the remote machine is running v5.1 or above. However, keep in mind this is strictly for authentication. We strongly recommend you always upgrade the MRC Client Agent on the remote machine to match this current version as well. Otherwise we cannot guarantee the software will work properly, including any fixes or changes included in these releases.
- Possible issue when connecting to remote Windows 2000 machines via Smart Card Login. Only occured on remote Windows 2000 machines, and only on brand new installations of the DameWare Virtual Smart Card Reader. If the Virtual Smart Card reader was installed previously by version 5.5 of the software, then this Windows 2000 machine would work fine. Fixed.
- On some Servers, MRC SysTray icon may appear for all connected users in Citrix or Terminal Services sessions. Fixed.

- DNTU would hang when closing Shares View, but only when clicking on "x" on Shares MDI Tab. Fixed.

User will be notified that they should update the Client Agent, but this version will not force an automatic upgrade of the Client Agent on remote machine if Client Agent is 5.0 or above. However, we strongly recommend you upgrade the Client Agent on the remote machine to this current version as well.
- Resolved issue when making a Reverse Connection from MRC Client Agent, if machine had never been connected to previously using MRC appp to install Mirror & Keyboard drivers. Fixed.
- MSI - Added system requirements support so package will only run on the O/S for which it was built.
- MSI - Added automated MSI versioning based on DWRCS.EXE file version.
- MSI - Resolved Win9X upgrade and removal issues. Fixed.

- Added new WMI Physical Memory information on Properties View / System Tab.
- Improved "GoTo" (non-AD) functionality. Used for locating machines in the Microsoft Windows Network, Favorite Domains, or Favorite Machines portion of DNTU's Browser.
- Added a close button (i.e. "x") on each individual MDI Tab to easily close that Window View.
- Added new themes under Vista (Ribbon & Office 2007).
- Added enhancement to automatically reset user account (only within AD Object View), if account was already expired and user then selects "Never Expires" under account properties.
- Added enhancement to DNTU's Shutdown View, for displaying Running Applications. Must remove & reinstall DNTU Client Agent Service (DNTUS26.exe) on remote machine.
- Incorrect memory totals being reporting for remote 64-bit machines. Fixed.

- Some instances in multi-monitor environments where wrong primary monitor was selected. Fixed.
- Connect via Proxy field too short in Remote Connect dialog. Fixed.
- Minor issue when connecting to Vista using Mirror Driver, where Aero & Wallpaper not re-enabled if "Disable Wallpaper" not selected under Desktop Effects. Fixed.
- Possible hang on initializing, when connecting over slow links. Fixed.
- "Use Remote Desktop (RDP)" flag could mistakenly be enabled for a Saved Host Entry. Fixed.
- Corrected rare screen update issue, when clicking out of and then back into the MRC window using the mouse. Fixed.
- Corrected rare crash in MRC Client Agent Service under Vista. Fixed.
- Added new themes under Vista (Ribbon & Office 2007).
- Software Export only showing 32-bit software on remote 64-bit machines. Fixed.
- Possible System Error 126 when running Exporter under Vista. Fixed.
