Software-update: AnyDVD 6.1.6.0

Afgelopen vrijdag heeft SlySoft versie 6.1.6.0 uitgebracht van AnyDVD. Met dit programma kunnen de de kopieer- en regiobeveiligingen van dvd's worden omzeild en kan deze dus gewoon in Windows worden geopend. Ook is het in staat om verplichte delen, zoals bijvoorbeeld de copyright- en FBI-waarschuwingen, toch over te slaan. Tenslotte kan ook de snelheid van de drive worden aangepast, om zodoende het lawaai wat wordt geproduceerd tijdens het afspelen terug te dringen. Afhankelijk van de ingevoerde registratiesleutel kan het programma alleen overweg met een traditionele dvd-romdrive of de nieuwere hd-dvd- danwel blu-raydrive. In deze release is onder andere de 'AnyDVD ripper'-snelkoppeling teruggekeerd en kan het programma zichzelf opheffen mocht het bij het afsluiten vastlopen. De overige veranderingen hebben voornamelijk betrekking op Blu-ray en hd-dvd's:

• New (DVD): Support for new X-Protect protection, as found on "Apocalypto" (R2, Germany)
• New (HD DVD & Blu-ray): Support for new titles
• New (Blu-ray): Added signature fixing (e.g., Pirates 1&2)
• New: If AnyDVD hangs on exit, it will terminate itself after a 10 seconds timeout
• New: Because of popular demand, the "AnyDVD ripper" shortcut in the start menu is back! Please note, that AnyDVD must be running for this shortcut to work.
• Fix (DVD): Dummy titles on Arccos protected discs could cause a Navigation Pack Error with CloneDVD or the AnyDVD ripper
• Fix (Blu-ray): Some files with non consecutive sections were not decrypted correctly, e.g. "Deja Vu" (EUR-Germany) hung at the layer break position when played back with PowerDVD
• Fix (HD DVD & Blu-ray): File sizes of files mapped with "Magic File Replacement(tm)" and copied with AnyDVD HD ripper could be incorrect.
• Fix (HD DVD & Blu-ray): Multithreaded access to AACS decrypted files could cause incorrect decryption
• Some minor fixes and improvements
• Updated languages

Ik meen dat het eenvoudigweg een kwestie is van de juiste sleutels in het systeem stoppen.(dus dat is denk ik niet zo moeilijk)

Toch vreemd dat de makers van DVD-X-Copy enkele jaren geleden werden gesommeerd te stoppen met de verkoop van hun programma, en dat deze gewoon mag blijven bestaan. Ik vind het oké hoor, iedereen heeft immers recht op een thuiskopie (maar niemand die een DVD kopieert doet dat als backup, maar omdat hij de DVD van een vriend of buur wil kopiëren ).
