Een systeem om makkelijk overzichtelijke en uitgebreide faq's te maken en te onderhouden is phpMyFAQ. Het systeem draait op een omgeving met minimaal PHP 4.1.0, een database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, IBM Cloudscape, Apache Derby of SQLite) en een webserver zoals Apache of IIS. De lijst met features meldt onder andere dat het gebruik kan maken van een ldap-server voor het controleren van de rechten van gebruikers. De ontwikkelaars hebben de tweede release candidate van versie 2.0.0 uitgebracht met de volgende lijst van aanpassingen:
