Het is een tijdje stil geweest rondom de Gene6, maar gisteren is er zowaar weer eens een nieuwe versie uitgekomen van dit no-nonsense ftp-serverprogramma. G6FTP Server is verkrijgbaar in een standaard- en professionalversie, waarbij de eerste gelimiteerd is tot maximaal twee domeinen en vijfentwintig gelijktijdige verbindingen, en de laatste geen beperkingen kent. Meer informatie over de onderlinge verschillen kan op deze pagina worden gevonden. Het programma is ook in het Nederlands te gebruiken door het downloaden en installeren van dit bestand, een vertaling die door GoT-er Onedayflyer gedaan is. Het changelog van deze release laat de volgende veranderingen zien:

- Server : Access rights pointing to a file would prevent the deletion of the target file even if delete right was granted.
- Server : Disabled FastMM option which forced MMX commands set usage even if MMX is not available on the CPU to allow compatibility with older CPU like Pentium Pro.
- Server : Increased max values for FTP Server / Options / Socket buffer size (send and receive).
- g6_auth_nt.dll : Custom defined groups have priority on the three default groups.
