DameWare Development heeft zijn DameWare NT Utilities voorzien van een update naar versie 5.5.0.0. Met deze programma's, die naast een zeer uitgebreide Active Directory Object Browser ook uit de programma's DameWare Mini Remote Control en DameWare Exporter bestaan, kunnen Windows NT-, 2000-, XP en Server 2003-servers, workstations en netwerken op afstand beheren en administreren. De software kan dertig dagen volledig worden getest voordat het moet worden aangeschaft. Het changelog van de drie afzonderlijke programma's laten de volgende veranderingen zien:

- Added support for remote Smart Card authentication.
- Improved refresh logic in Shares View.
- Improved Groups View / Add Member (from Domain) retrieval logic.

- Automatic icon updates for Active Directory computers could not be disabled. Now linked to "Update Machine icons" setting under Application Properties / Network Browser Tab.
- Moving up or down through Event Log entries while displaying Event Details, would not reset pointer to top of each new Event Details displayed. Fixed.
- Text "non-Browsable" still displayed in Information Pane. Replaced with Favorite Machines. Fixed.
- View / Choose Columns grayed out in AD Search Dialog dialog. Fixed.
- Company Logo could not be deleted in AD User Properties. Fixed.
- Corrected "IP Sorting" sort order in WOL View. Fixed.
- WOL View could crash when reading in a very large list of machines from the associated .DWMP file. Fixed.
- Sort by size in Shares View not working. Fixed.
- Mini Toolbars on all Views (Event Log, Users, Groups, etc....) can be closed. No way to get them back. Fixed.
Changes in DameWare Exporter
- Added support for remote Smart Card authentication as well as Interactive Smart Card Login.
- No protocol revision. Will not require automatic upgrade to Client Agent on remote machine if Client Agent is 5.0 or above. However, we recommend you upgrade the Client Agent on the remote machine to the current version as well. Otherwise some functionality may not work properly. **(Can easily be done via new "File / Update Client Agent" menu option).
- Added new Delay value, for Reconnect on Ping, to allow TCP subsystem time to start.
- Improved "Must be a member of this Local Group" lookup functionality.
- Improved "Must be a member of this Global Group" lookup functionality.
- Switching Session improvements in Windows XP, for Fast User Switching and Remote Desktop.
- Switching Session may be displayed under certain scenarios on Windows 2000. Fixed.
- Corrected Tab Order in Remote Connect dialog. Fixed.
- Changed Event Log entry from "Error" to "Information" when user enables checkbox to "Use MRC Mirror Driver" but Mirror Driver not installed on remote machine. Fixed.
- Multiple Monitor environments, when using Mirror Driver, Logoff and then Logon again would not auto disable wallpaper. Fixed.
- Open Remote SFT Folder may not work. Fixed.
- Tray Icon may not be displayed. Fixed.
- Older Credentials that were explicitly entered were still used when creating a new Host entry, after switching to "Use Current Credentials" in Default Hot Properties GUI. Fixed.
- Renaming folder in MRC Host List would cause folder to no longer expand. Fixed.
- Minor repaint issues. Fixed.
- Custom Downgrade Text only displayed when "Disable Version Downgrade" not enabled during an attempted downgrade of the Client Agent. Fixed.

- Problem with Standard Share Export. Share path field incorrect. Contains Share Name by mistake. Fixed.
- Program could potentially crash when running AD exports, if no AD Attributes were selected for that specific AD Export Type (i.e. Computers, Contacts, etc..). Now displays warning message if at least one AD attribute is not selected. Fixed.
