Rogue Amoeba heeft zojuist de eerst publieke bètaversie van Airfoil For WIndows beschikbaar gesteld. Dit programma is in staat om muziek van onder meer Winamp, Windows Media Player en RealPlayer te sturen naar AirPort Express, zodat het draadloos zenden van audio niet meer voorbehouden is aan Apple iTunes. Airfoil werd vorig jaar al uitgebracht voor Mac OS X (deze uitvoering is hier naar binnen te halen), maar onder druk van de eigen community werd er begonnen aan de ontwikkeling van een Windows-versie. De bètaversie Airfoil For Windows is via deze link te downloaden en wordt beschikbaar gesteld als shareware; na tien minuten van gebruik zal de bètaversie de audo voorzien van geruis.
