Op de site van D-Link heeft Ook nieuwe firmware gevonden voor de DGL-4100. Hierdoor is deze firmware aangekomen bij versienummer 1.6 en kan hier als bin-bestand gedownload worden. In de besturingssoftware van de router zijn een aantal veranderingen doorgevoerd. Welke dat zijn is hieronder te lezen:
