SyncBack Freeware kan data synchroniseren of simpelweg een backup maken naar een locatie op de zelfde schijf, een andere schijf, een ander medium zoals een cd-rw of een CompactFlash-kaartje, een ftp-server of een zip-archief. SyncBackSE is de shareware broer van SyncBack Freeware en bevat meer en uitgebreidere functies waarmee je de synchronisatie kan verbeteren. Versie 4.0.5 heeft de volgende aanpassingen gekregen:
