Van Central Brain Identifier is gisteren een nieuwe versie uitgekomen. Het gaat om 7.7.0.1 build 1105 R2 en deze kan vanaf hier worden gedownload. Het programma herkent meer dan vijftig modellen AMD-processors en geeft gedetailleerde informatie weer zoals de naam, revisie en voltage van de core, frequentie, rating, cache en PowerNow-technologie. Daarnaast is het ook in staat enkele tweaks uit te voeren ten aanzien van bijvoorbeeld de L1-cache en het Clock Control Register. Een changelog voor deze versie is niet vrijgegeven, maar wel viel er het volgende over deze release op de website van Amd club te lezen:
There has been a significant change in the source code of CBId as to recognition of the AMD64 processors. We decided to make a such action, because we found out an inability of the previous source engine to correctly recognize feature AMD processors. In fact, CBId now identifies the whole family of the AMD64 processors using its absolutely new Brand-ID based source engine. In addition, there are two independent algorithms in CBId to change the VCore and clock ratio of the mobile AMD processor, including the AMD64 CPU. Besides, CBId now determines a real frequency of the RAM/Memory Controller of 64-bit AMD processors.[break]
