NewsLeecher 5.0 bèta 12

Er is een nieuwe bètarelease uitgebracht van NewsLeecher versie 5.0. Met dit programma is het mogelijk om op een eenvoudige manier bestanden uit nieuwsgroepen te downloaden. Het programma ondersteunt nzb-bestanden, beschikt over een SuperSearch, en kan gedownloade bestanden automatisch op integriteit en volledigheid controleren, en vervolgens zelfstandig uitpakken. Nieuw in versie 5.0 is onder andere dat er tabs zijn toegevoegd aan de SuperSearch. Verder is er nu een SuperSearch Watchdog en is men druk bezig de gebruikersinterface te verbeteren. Het changelog voor deze release laat de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen zien:

New features:

• "SuperSearch Bookmark Folders" It's now possible to create sub folders for your SuperSearch bookmarks, for better organization and overview.
• Added a new fourth option to the 'Compacting' feature. The feature can be accessed by clicking the 'Compacting' button in the lower right corner of the NewsLeecher main window.
• Added an option to disable drag'n'drop repositioning of the tabs at the top of the NewsLeecher main window. The option can be accessed by right clicking the tabs control.
• Added an option to change the background color of articles that are not marked as 'new', 'paused', 'incomplete' or 'downloaded. The option can be accessed from: Settings -> Adv. Nerdy Tweaks -> Article Color Normal
• It's now possible to turn off the small graphical 'new' tag, shown next to new articles in the listviews. Can be done here: Settings -> Adv. Nerdy Tweaks -> Article New Tag

Improved features:

• The built-in File Explorer is now first initialized when it is begin activated. For some users, this will improve the NewsLeecher lauch speed dramatically.
• Smaller improvements. (Max width of SuperSearch result / append filter have been upped, updated graphics, etc.)

Fixed bugs:

• 'Old' articles are not marked with a 'New' article color anymore.
• 'Remove Articles From Cache' crashed in the previous beta. This has been fixed now.
• The 'Change Download Folder' feature didn't always work in the previous betas. Fixed.
• Fixed bug where NewsLeecher would sometimes delete downloaded files, if the length of the path+filename is longer than 255 characters.
• All known memory leaks have been fixed.
