7zX 1.6.7

Het compressieformaat 7z wordt steeds meer gebruikt voor het comprimeren van bestanden. Het programma 7zX is, zoals de naam al doet vermoeden, speciaal geschreven voor Mac OS X en biedt volledige ondersteuning voor het 7z-formaat. De ontwikkelaar heeft versie 1.6.7 de deur uitgedaan met de volgende aankondiging:

Version 1.6.7:
We fixed a bug which would cause 7zX to fail creating an archive when asked to discard resource forks.

Version 1.6.6:
7zX 1.6.6 features an incredible quantity number of bug fixes and optimizations: segmented archives are now created properly, and existing files shouldn’t be overwritten anymore when expanding an archive.

Compression options are now saved across sessions, and we also improved our Software Update engine and the Growl-based notifications system. Although past versions had no particular problems with Leopard, we improved compatibility and performance with Apple’s new OS.

Version 1.6.5:
7zX now creates temporary files in the same folder as the files it is processing rather than on the main hard disk. Also, huge portions of the code that constitutes 7zX have been rewritten, in order to increase software performance.
