Software-update: Central Brain Identifier 7.6.0.0 R1

Op het Russische Amd club is gisteren de eerste bètarelease van versie 7.6.0.0 van Central Brain Identifier uitgekomen. Met dit programma kan precies worden vastgesteld welke AMD-processor en chipset zich in de computer bevind. Ook kunnen enkele instellingen worden gefinetuned, zoals onder andere de snelheid van de VIA V-Link interface, bus width, command priority en de Bank Interleave parameter. Verder is het ook mogelijk om de instruction sets van de processor, zoals MMX, 3DNow!, SSE2, Long Mode, NX-bit in of uit te schakelen. Het changelog van deze release laat de volgende veranderingen zien:

Changes in 7.6.0.0 Build 0729 R1:

• Added two additional DRAM timings of Read to Write Delay (tRTW) and Write to Read delay (tWTR) for the nVidia nForce2 chipset.
• The nForce2 FSB frequency control box enhanced with information about DRAM frequency.
• Added preliminary support to VIA VT82C686 south bridge to determine the VCore and CPU temperature.
• Added support to the AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ processor.
