AlgemeenI have ordered a custom build pc from Alternate some 3 weeks ago, after 2 weeks that pc came in broken. It would not output any video signal to the monitors. MoBo debug was pointing the issue towards the cpu, either the cpu pins were damaged or bent or there were other issues with the MoBo itself. So normally I asked for a RMA to fix the problem, but to my surprise they told me i would have to wait from 3 to 5 weeks for them to repair it!
They have claimed that the pc could have been damaged during shipping, but how does a cpu end up damaged while it is mounted on the MoBo.
Unless of course it was poorly built, the MoBo latch was not armed correctly or they used an already broken cpu. That is not the worse part, asking a client to wait for another 5 weeks is a slap to the face. You are not repairing a car here but a pc, actually you can get a car engine repaired in less time than this. It is even worse since I NEED this pc for a course that is CRUCIAL to my career! I was foolish, should have built it myself instead of relying on others.
I made the mistake but you shouldn't; do you need a custom build, pre built or even parts themselves? Buy from any other retailers; Amazon, bol.com, pcspecialist or any other small shop, they have better customer service and quality.
Thank you for your feedback, Anghel! Sorry to read that you are not satisfied with our service....
From experience, we unfortunately see that larger coolers in combination with AMD processors are more likely to come out of the socket due to the shock of transportation.
The deadline that was communicated was incorrect. Your computer was treated as an urgent priority because it had just been delivered. Our technical department has also confirmed that your computer is already ready for pickup. They also recommend that you pick it up and not reship it with the Postal Service to avoid further problems.
Our sincere apologies for this annoying situation.
