I pre-ordered a phone with them which I ended up terrible regretting. Before I continue, I need to explain that KPN takes equal blame in the whole experience, since they proved as incompetent, if not even more.
Long story short - the phone was going to be dispatched by CoolBlue, but the subscription which was coming with was KPN's. Having some rather strict procedures with acceptable documents did not allow CoolBlue to finalize the order (which ultimately was not their fault). However, what made things worse was the back and forth scapegoating - every time I contacted CoolBlue, they were telling me it's KPN's fault, and every time I contact KPN, they were blaming CoolBlue. In the end I tried to convince the CoolBlue employee to work together and contact a KPN customer service to resolve the issue. However, it was all in vain, but the answer I get is even more absurd - "we do not contact our partners".
The customer service personnel in general wanted to assist me as much as they could and were polite along the way. However, what was incredibly annoying is that they were contacting me first to get my personal details needed for the subscription, but once things became more complicated, they just went for cancelling my order. I tried to come to a better solution while digging deeper into the cause and I could sense the confusion in the tone - "let me put you on hold", "let me talk with me colleague", "let me talk to my manager", "why don't you visit the CoolBlue shop in Amsterdam". Ultimately, my order and whole situation turned out to be an edge case for them - hopefully they've learned something. What I've learned is not to go with KPN.
Dear Viktor, it is a shame that you encountered so many problems during your pre-order. The procedure regarding the phone delivery is very strict and it is a shame that we could not finalize the order. We will take your review seriously and we will take this into account during our evaluation process. If we can do anything else for you, do not hesitate to contact us. Cheers, Coolblue.
