I got an issue with an expensive wireless headset I purchased from ALTERNATE online. I have decided to go down to Rotterdam from Amsterdam to resolve the issue and btw I need to build a completely new workstation so I wanted to buy everything there on site. I presented a headset and described the problem. They needed to test it. I started purchasing with the consultant in a meanwhile. I ended up with a bill for 3K (3000) euro and with a pre-order for a monitor for yet another 1K. My headset was not tested yet. A tester came back 30 minutes later saying that headset worked for them. It was strange and I decided not to risk and change it anyway. I asked if I could return it and buy even more expensive one (+100 euros) to be sure. The guy disappeared and about 30 minutes later told me that they cannot take it due to hygienic concerns… I asked for a manager, he came yet another 30 minutes late and told me that it was a misunderstanding, they thought it was in-ear headset… He claimed they take it back because it was within 14 days period. 30 minutes later the tester came and told me that he checked the headset and it is not “as new” thus they could not take it: he found 2 scratches on the surface on the earphones… I referred to the manager who told me before they could take it. Then they offered me a little reduction of price – 20%! I asked them to write me the letter to cover this story. They wrote me some paper and still asked to pay 20% if I want to return this headset. I asked them to unload my car (!) because I already had the goods for 3K from them packed in there! They agreed! So the manager of this shop decided to 1) lose a deal for 4K 2) loose customer(s) 3) get this review 3) wasted time of himself, his employees, me in order to get 26 euros from me (sic!). I am happy that I found how they treat customers soon enough – never this shop again!

The shop manager decided to get from me 26 euros with all possible tricks because I decided to return the expensive headset which did not charge at my place. I offered them to buy even more expensive one and btw I have already made the purchase from them at the same time for nearly 4000 euros. The headset they sold me also could be purchased in other shops much cheaper and with a stand... But they decided to physically unload my car with the stuff for several thousands euros I just bought from them but take from me those 26 euros! It is totally irrational, imho and I do not want to deal with such business. Now I am waiting for them to rerun my money to my account because they could not do that immediately, as they told me.
