Plextor PX-B940SA

Nadat een Plextor PX-B940SA gekocht en geleverd was, bleek de bijgeleverde software onvoldoende compleet om het apparaat naar tevredenheid te laten functioneren. Onderstaande bevindingen zijn gerapporteerd aan Plextor Europe en Plextor US. Tot op heden geen reakties ontvangen waarin zij een oplossing boden voor de omissie. De after-sales service van Plextor is dus niet een overtuigende reden om deze direkt aan te schaffen. :

Last week we purchased the Plextor BD (Blu-Ray) writer PX-B940SA based =
on specifications, expectations created by Plextor and the satisfactory =
performance experienced with previously procured Plextor PC auxiliaries. =

After installing the BD- writer referenced, and Upon installing the =
Software provided with it in the package, we noticed that the Cyberlink =
software that came with it is not suitable to create/process Blu-Ray =
related data and Blu-Ray discs cannot be written with that software.

Upon making the attempt to do so, a pop-screen appears stating the above =
software not to be able to write Blu-Ray discs. It refers to the =
Cyberlink website where additional software has to be be procured in =
order to process and write Blu-Ray data to disc.

I was disappointed to experience that Plextor produces and markets a =
product package (hard-and software in one box) that does not fully =
comply with the intended purpose and the expectations created upon =
selling hard and software as a combined salesproduct.

We cannot belief that Plextor intentionally misleads its customers, so =
we are hopeful that you agree with us that such packages should be =
completed and made fit to properly work according the expectations =
created upon the moment it was put on the market.

We consider it good business if you provide the adequate software that =
matches the BD-writer in order make it work appropriately and expect to =
hear from you shortly.
