Absolutely flawless product.
My first OLED, so I was blown away by the blacks. Which are black-black.
The sound was another thing that blew me away. I didn't look at the specs, those who are interested must check. But this baby sounds better than my audiophiles HECO 3-channel floor standing speakers + sub + top end Yamaha AV receiver (never buy them, btw).
Finally - WebOS. I am playing BD Rip movies STRAIGHT from my NAS. No transcoding. Right into the TV. You don't need the media player anymore.

One month usage review.
Now LG C8 is the media center. It uses a network drive to stream content directly in ANY codec and quality and play it using Plex. So, you don't need and extra media player. And with the magic remote all this works like a charm.

HOWEVER. If you fancy playing Dolby Digital, Dolby TrueHD and other lossless sounds, you can't get this signal out of the TV and give it to the sounds system (for example, a receiver). Optical cable cannot handle lossless audio, neither can regular HDMI ARC.

Netflix 5.1 (including Atmos) is not a problem since they use Dolby Digital+, which is lossy and therefore can be passed through to a receiver via HDMI ARC. And you cannot wait for eARC that will support lossless audio, because LG C8 doesn't have HDMI 2.1 ports.

So, the only way to play lossless audio is to play it on a separate player, pass it to the receiver and only then to the TV.

Here's a super helpful discussion about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/...is_about_dolby_atmos_and/

What? :?
@Sanction I mean the size difference is not that apparent to justify 2x price difference. That's the better way to put it.
Why is this a negative thing for this specific TV?
Is there another TV where this is different?
Are you using the plex client to play the BD rips?
No, simply DNLA. I have an ancient Dune Smart H1, where I have transmission for torrents. I installed the Twonky DNLA server. Is streams content without transcoding. So, TV handles codecs and containers on his own.
Later, I'll replace the Dune with a Synology NAS, which also has DNLA and torrents.
Thanks. It works perfectly. I had bad experiences with DLNA in the past but it works very well.
As far as I understand, DNLA simply streams the content. Nothing else.
Therefore, the problems with DNLA are primarily related to your players: for example, if the TV doesn't understand the format. And that was a pleasant surprise that this LG actually reads everything from my library.
Except for BDMV and other not-remuxed copies of disks. I'm still thinking about how to cope with it.
It was years ago and if memory serves it was mostly trying to play video with a ps3. Playback was erratic at best, incompatible at worst.

Now I can confirm that playing 4k HDR hevc streams served from a kodi library works perfectly on my lg 55c7v.

So points to webos for that.
Thanks for the short review.
How are the deep bass sounds of the television? Does the 75inch has better sound due to the bigger sound? Would it be better then my KEF IQ50 stereo floorstanding speakers? :O
Basses a surprisingly good. However floorstanding 3-way speakers will always beat built-in speakers.
I used to use HECO 3-way floorstanding, but their sound was unsatisfactory. So, I recently sold them and will build a 7.1.2 Atmos system now.
Also, I heard something about KEF iQ family, but never heard them. And they will sound different in different rooms with different amps. So, I cannot accurately comment on them.

For now, I live with the built-in speakers and they produce reasonable sound.
Thats always nice if you can do that. Less electricity consumption and best of all more place in the living room and nicer build in closets :)
