Zeker een mooie lens, maar puur optisch gezien is de Canon toch nog wel een tandje beter als je de verschillende reviews mag geloven:
In the Canon vs. Tamron comparison at f/2.8, we see these two performing similarly in the center at the wider focal lengths. The Canon has a modest edge in the corners at these focal lengths. By 50mm, the Canon's performance becomes notably better and even includes the center of the frame. The difference in the corners is not as strong at 70mm, but the Canon is still noticeably sharper in the center.
Maar het grote nadeel van de Canon is dat die geen IS heeft, dus als je geen statief gebruikt dan zal deze Tamron vaak scherpere foto's schieten. Ik heb indertijd heel erg getwijfeld tussen de 24-70L F4 IS, 24-70L F2.8 II en deze Tamron. Ik ben voor de 24-70L F4 IS gegaan en geen spijt (vooral gewicht is wat fijner), maar ik ben erg benieuwd naar deze Tamron. Een f/2.8 is toch wel heel erg lekker en met IS heel verleidelijk...
