Mijn systeemspecificaties (relevante specificaties):
AMD Ryzen 5 1600x @ standaard kloksnelheden
Corsair 3000MHz LPX @ 2666MHz
Asus RoG PG248Q

Oude grafische kaart: Palit Jetstream GTX 1070

Nice little review, but isn't the 1080ti a bit overkill for a 1080p screen. My gtx1070 will happily run around 144fps on a 1080p screen. If you want it completely stable maybe a gtx1080, but a ti is overkill.
Long story short: my girlfriends GPU died, I sold her my 1070 cheap and I bought a 1080 ti :)

I also plan on getting a 4k monitor in the near future + some water cooling from ekwb, they have good blocks that fit nvidias 10x0 series GPUs.

But overall I am noticing a big improvement over my 1070, but at the moment my CPU is bottlenecking the 1080 ti in 1080p gaming for sure.
U said it's running a little bit hot with the default fan curve, what are the temps with the default fan curve idle and under load, also, is the fan semi passive?
Oh, it's been some time since I used it. I remember Nvidia boost hitting its target temp and throttling, card under load hit 81-86.idle was fine as the card reduces clock speeds a lot. Don't remember. The fan is not semi passive, it is on at all times by default. I am currently watercooling this card with a kit from EK waterblocks.

Sorry for not being able to help more
Ah alright, that's not an issue, I can imagine that it wasn't a very quiet card though. but is it atleast good? even back when you used the fan on it with maybe a custom fan curve? I'll have my DAN A4-SFX in a few weeks, so there is literally no space for water cooling. :p
oh wow :P I did want to try that case but water cooling had priority.
The card itself is a solid 1080ti with the performance it brings. The fan by default is not very loud and that is why the temps are high.
If you set a custom fan curve you can tame the temps and tweak the turbo boost to not throttle as easily at the cost of acoustics. Or at least that is what I experienced, I used it with the stock fan for about 2-3 weeks and I did not notice anything weird otherwise with it. I got pretty much the same performance as other comparable systems I could find online so I felt happy and started overclocking.

I get why you want a blower style card in your DAN case otherwise :P It will probably help with getting the hot air out of the box, that chassi is tiny ._. Good luck!
Yes indeed! hehe, I currently got a 1060 6GB of EVGA non blower edition, so i prepare for the worst loool... but that 1080ti sounds really wonderful though.. I don't mind a bit of sound, since the EVGA is already very loud plus the Intel stock cooler I got won't really help either, but with gaming I always got music on so the sound kinda got muffled away. so if I understand this right, the card CAN throttle with the default fan curve? so there is some kind of software needed on the background when you launch windows that it will switch to your custom fan curve? (I got the programs to set fan speeds etc, but I never let it launch on boot.) And yup! I was very lucky to preorder the DAN right on time! They made the V3 with compatibilty with Asetek AIO cpu cooling, but I don't really want to burn my fingers on that lol. :p also thanks! enjoy your Zotac! it really seems like a nice card imo.

Turbo boost will throttle a bit, yeah. I used zotac firestorm to fix the fan curve but msi afterburner should also work fine. I launch firestorm with Windows on boot which is a bit annoying but it worked well for the fan curve then and the overclock now.
Have you looked into cryorig or noctua for an aftermarket cooler that is the size of intels stock cooler but is quieter and performs better if I remember it right? If you have an additional 30-40 euros you should consider it :)
