The Choten CPU-Cooler uses a top-flow design to actively cool all surrounding mainboard components through the air flow directed from above. This has a positive effect on system stability and service life. During the development of the Choten, the focus was not only on excellent performance, but also on unrestricted compatibility with RAM. The asymmetric design coupled with a large gap between motherboard and heatsink ensures excellent compatibility with large memory modules. With a preinstalled Kaze Flex 120 PWM fan, the total height of the Choten CPU-Cooler is only 120 mm, allowing it to easily fit into the majority of PC cases. This mix of good performance, high compatibility and high-quality axial fan makes the Choten an attractive CPU-Cooler for compact but demanding systems.

Flexibel high-profile geheugen plaatsen en verwisselen is met de Scythe Choten geen enkel probleem. Het top-flow ontwerp draagt bij in het mogelijk afkoelen van je PCB, VRM's en geheugen. Op het moment is de verwachte prijs wat hoger, net wat lager zou deze CPU-koeler een stuk interessanter maken.
Pluspunten
Prestaties zijn voor de 'verwachte prijs van 30 euro' zeker niet slecht. Volledige vrijheid in het plaatsen van high-profile geheugen. Heeft de potentie om het PCB en bijhorende VRM's te koelen dankzij het top-flow ontwerp. Degelijke afwerking voor dit prijssegment. Montage is eenvoudig, wel zijn er chiquere oplossing, alles heeft zijn prijs.
Minpunten
De prijs van circa 30 euro is op het moment circa 37 euro, waardoor de Scythe Kotetsu Mark II qua prestaties voor 39 euro net wat interessanter is. Mag nog wel wat goedkoper worden om écht competitief te zijn in de markt.
