Diamond wanted with their first line of mobo's, a good, steady line of boards just to get their name out in the motherboard market.
If this is what Diamond was shooting for than they hit the arrow right on the target.

If you plan to overclock it, make note that the C200 doesn't support busspeeds up and over 100MHz, like the very popular 112 MHz.

With the imminent release of the last of the major Socket7 based processors, the AMD K6-3, the C200 extends itself as a solution for these future users as well.
Although this is the case with all Super7 Mobo's, it's nice to know if you're considering upgrading to a Super7 solution.

The K6-3 will utilize your board's L2 cache, and determine it as L3 cache instead.
After the K6-3 though, possibillities look grin for the Super7 platform as AMD and Intel, the two major forces in the consumer processor. Street Price $95

The Voodoo Banshee represents the beginning of a new era in 3dfx's history, with their announcement that they will no longer produce dedicated 3D chips (ie chips without an integrated 2D engine), 3dfx is committing itself to a wider market segment, supplanting its gaming only roots.
The Voodoo Banshee is the first chip of this new era of 3Dfx.

The FUSION is the same as other Banshee-based cards.
The card runs 16 MB of 125 MHz SGRAM on a 250 MHz RAMDAC,
allowing for very quick RAM access and eliminating a potential block to overclocking.

3D Acceleration.
The most important part of the fusion isits 3D acceleration, and this is where it shines.
One of the extra's Diamond included is a very large fan and heatsink.
Yet Diamonduses the heatsink/fan for another reason: to overclock the card.
