Nieuwe VIA 4 in 1 drivers

VTec schrijft dat VIA nieuwe 4 in 1 drivers (versie 4.20) heeft gereleased. Hieronder de info van AMD Zone:

Thanks to Owen for letting me know that there are new 4 in 1 Via drivers up. The link they have on that page is broken, so use this one. I'm not sure what 4.20 does, but I'll be sure to test.

[...] Well I've done some testing with the new Via 4 in 1 drivers, specifically gaming testing with Quake Arena, and here are the results. Everything seems to be the same. I saw no performance increase or decrease with the new drivers, and all of the AGP features are still enabled with the KX133 with no tweaks. I used an Athlon 500 with 256MB of NEC VCM SDRAM, and a Diamond TNT 2 Ultra for the testing.

Je kunt ze drivers hier wegtrekken.

Let wel: als je W98 SE gebruikt dan hoef je niet de 4-in-1 te installeren. De IRQ Routing Driver en de ACPI Registry zijn al geintregeerd in W98SE. Het enige wat je dan nodig hebt is de IDE Busmaster en de AGP drivers:

AGP Driver: www.via.com.tw/drivers/Agp400.zip

De IDE Busmaster driver kun je krijgen bij je moederbord of systeem leverancier.

ik denk dat het is om wat meer stabiliteit te creeren maar goed bij sommige is dat niet nodigbij sommige wel.

bij mij werkt de link wel
bij de installatie vink je gewoon aan wat je geinstalleeerd wil hebben met de Asus K7M moet je dus i.i.g niet die AGP driver hebben want die heeft de AGP miniport driver van AMD.
