Jeremy van AGN 3D heeft nog wat verder zitten spelen met z'n PIII-500 en komt tot de minder grappige conclusie dat het ding niet wil overklokken:
Well I have been playing with the processor for over 8 hours now trying to get it to overclock, with no luck. Other then 5X100, I am just dead on all of the other options. The bios is still showing it as a PII 500 processor instead of a PIII, so maybe after a bios update I will be able to do at least a little overclocking. The way it stands now I cannot get past the startup screen with anything other than the default setting. No combination of voltage or fsb settings including the little 3MHz turbo boost is able to add to the speed. I have also been having problems with OpenGL games including Quake 2, Half-Life and Sin. Flashing and lockup problems that are not there if I remove the P3. I am sure that Intel will have all software problems fixed shortly after the official release of the processor.
