Begin je een beetje moe te worden van die lelijke grijzige kleur van je PC kast? Tech-Junkie informeert ons over hoe je het beste je poeter van een leuk kleurtje voorziet:
The first thing that you should do before you start is to figure out which colour you'd like to paint your case. We wanted to do an indigo-blue colour similar to the Silicon Graphics/Intergraph machines, but the hardware store that we went to only had a navy blue. Black is also quite a good colour to stuff around with as 'mistakes' are not so apparent when using black paint. Use your imagination! If there weren't any protests, I would have gladly painted the God Box hot pink!Always use a spray paint. Don't even THINK about using brushes to paint onto your PC case! We attended a LAN party recently where one guy used brush paint and you can still see the brush strokes on his case. Ugly!
You can either use a water-based paint or an enamel paint. The problem with using an enamel paint is that it chips easily when applied onto the plastic bits on the PC case (usually the front panel of the case). We settled on the Dulux Aquacolour Spraypak water based paint which can be used on almost any surface. If you're not satisfied after painting, wait a few days for the paint to dry and apply another coat of paint. You can even switch colour if you like.
