So you want to squeeze out thos few extra frames per second that overclocking will give you? Want to know if the Outrageous 3D is the card for you? Well, after enabling the registry entry to add the overclocking tab in the Display properties, I began to crank up both the core and memory settings. After each adjustment, I ran both 3DMark 2000 and looping Q3Test timedemos looking for stability and graphic glitches. All test were done with the case closed and standard cooling (no crazy 486 fans on the card here) I successfully reached 135 Core Clock and 320 Memory clock with no stability problems or artifacts whatsoever. Bumping up the memory to 325 or the core up to 140 resulted in severe artifacts in Q3 and eventual lockups. This results in a 12% increase in fill rate compared to the 12MHz default Core. Nothing to sneeze at.
