If you bought a TNT card a year ago and you have no money to burn, you can relax. Overclock that card and buy a new CPU.The Savage 2000 performs very well in openGL games, but fails to convince us in DirectX. It is however a very cheap card (+/- $170) and if you don't mind installing better drivers from time to time, it offers a lot of bang for your buck! It is cheaper than the Matrox G400 Max ($200), which is very expensive if you are planning to use this card solely for gaming.
The ATI Rage Fury Maxx is a fast card, but the price is high (around $280) right now. Wait and see. The Geforce DDR cards are the best in almost every test, but are pretty expensive too ($270).
