Bij Hard OCP is een informatief stukkie te vinden over hoe je je kast voorziet van een Blow-Hole. Het artikel is vrij uitgebreid en bevat veel plaatjes, dus voor een beetje een klusser moet het hiermee te doen zijn .
This article is five pages long and broken up to try to be fairly friendly on those you who are bandwidth-challenged. We did also use a compression program to reduce the files sizes of the graphics and I hope this will work out for all. If some of the images are a bit crappy, it was the trade off for it not being 50K in size. This article documents the installation of a BlowHole into a specific case. A BlowHole is basically a hole cut into your case, then fitted with a fan that is used to move large amounts of air in or out of the case, thus bring the temperature down inside the case. As all of us OCers already know, the temp inside your case can have a HUGE impact on your OC success.
Unless you have the exact same case (Addtronics 6896) and exact same fan (Sanyo Denki 170mm) your project might greatly differ. Still it should be pretty much the same in theory. As you know, use common sense and I highly suggest you once again wear your safety glasses where needed. That bigass monitor won't be very useful with your eyes all gouged out now, will it?
First off a quick list of what you will need: Jigsaw, Drill, Proper bits for both, basic hand tools, metal punch, a compass (if you are fancy), pencil and paper, tape measure, electricity, Gin and Tonic (optional, and we don't suggest you booze it up and get the saw out, this is for celebrating your accomplishment when finished), gloves (for you tender handed guys), and safety glasses.
Also I suggest you do the cutting over a surface OTHER THAN CARPET. A bunch of steal shavings ground into the carpet are highly likely to piss someone off that will later go back and try to clean up this mess.
