Het volk van Action Xtreme heeft een review van de Voodoo3-3500TV in elkaar getimmerd. Met de komst van de GeForce is de V3-3500 wat betreft 3D performance niet echt een held meer, maar dankzij de ingebakken TV tuner en video ingang, waarmee realtime MPEG2 video en audio gecaptured kan worden, blijft het een interessant kaartje voor video doe-het-zelvers:
The TV tuner program allows you to use your PC like a cable-ready TV, watching your favorite shows in either windowed, or full screen mode, at resolutions up to 640 by 480. This is paired with an FM radio application, so you can listen to your favorite tunes as well. I didn’t really use the FM tuner much, as it was much easier to just use my PC to play mp3s when I wanted to listen to music. The two tuner program allow you to change their appearance via "skins" a refreshing change for those of us that are sick of the Microsoft way of looking at your applications.Capturing video, and sending it back out to tape worked out quite well, using Video Studio’s included wizard. Not much to say here except that you are limited to a resolution of 320 by 240 for video capture. I thought that the quality of the capture was exceptional given this limitation.
